Boys Training School
The Boys Training School which is set to reopen on Monday will take on a new name, the Bowers Rehabilitation Center.
The late Mr. Bowers was the longest serving principal of the institution.
Final preparations are now underway. The furniture and the equipment which had been slow to arrive have been delivered, the painting and other work have all been completed.
The paving of the driveway is the last task to be undertaken and that will be completed within the next 48 hours.
Eight boys are to be housed there.
A ceremony will take place that morning at the facility.
Repairs began in 2021 under the then Minister of Social Transformation, Dean Jonas, but due to several delays, including a break-in at the facility, the project, which was initially expected to be completed by June 2021 will reopen.
