20 students have recently finished an internship program with the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority.
Throughout the program, the students gained exposure to various airport operations. During the internship, they were assigned to different departments at the VC Bird International Airport, such as Accounts, Operations, Commercial, Customer Service, Executive Lounge, Human Resources, IT, Security, and Stores.
Celestine Reynolds, the Human Resources Manager, expressed her satisfaction in enriching the minds of young professionals with knowledge and experience that will lead them to success as future professionals.
The students shared their thoughts and conveyed their satisfaction with the initiative, which had a strong theoretical foundation and practical experience in a real working environment.
The exercise also aimed to provide them with the aviation industry’s basic business and technical concepts.
The students who benefitted were; Ashanti Bishop, Misheka Mitchell, Sekoi Joseph, Anaiya Hector, Aalexa Lake, Frances Farrell, Natajah Francis, Rae-Anna Joseph, Danijha Simon, Denecia Henry, Sierra Letlow, Akeile Benjamin, J’herdine Browne, Elijah Edwards, Aulicia Greenaway, Ebonie Gravesande, Mya Southwell, Kyesha Cadogan, Dominic Roach and Noveke Josiah.
