The governing Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party has rolled out the proverbial red carpet for two former United Progressive Party Members.
Former Information Minister under the UPP Edmond Mansoor and former UPP Caretaker for the St John’s Rural East Constituency Sean Bird were in attendance at the Party’s executive Friday night.
In a Social media post Party Chairman EP Chet Greene shared both individuals have
“Taken up their positions in the House of Labour, attending the weekly Party Executive meeting for the first time since joining.”
Greene continued, “As chairman of this great political institution I say welcome.”
Mansoor and Bird are among a number of high profile individuals to resign from the opposition party in recent time.
