Shania Samuel, representing the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, secured second place honors at the inaugural True Blue Beauty Pageant, hosted at the John E. St Luce Finance and Conference Centre on Friday.
The local representative’s strong showing came in a competitive field that saw Tresan Sharpe of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force claim the crown, while Miss Guyana Police Force, Nickesha Lewis, placed third.
The historic pageant marked a significant moment for Antigua and Barbuda, as it was held as part of the 11th Intersessional Conference of the Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Associations, which the twin-island nation was hosting for the first time.
Samuel’s achievement adds a special touch to Antigua and Barbuda’s role as host nation, demonstrating the local police force’s ability to compete at the regional level both professionally and in community engagement activities.
The True Blue Beauty Pageant represents a new initiative in fostering camaraderie and cultural exchange among Caribbean police forces, with Antigua and Barbuda playing a pivotal role in its inaugural staging.
