The haunting and tragic case of two unsolved murders involving teenage girls continues to command the attention of local authorities. So says Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney
The public has been crying out for answers in the situation that has rocked Antigua and Barbuda
The families of Yenifer Bridge and Achazia James—two vibrant young lives cut short—are desperate for answers.
Yenifer Bridge, a 16-year-old, was discovered lifeless near Fig Tree Drive in late July, her untimely death sending shockwaves through the community.
Just a few weeks later, in early August, the body of 15-year-old Achazia James was found washed ashore at Runaway Beach.
In response to these harrowing incidents, the police force has prioritized the investigation, seeking international assistance from Scotland Yard.
However, the Commissioner, who was speaking on State Media at the time, emphasized that such collaborations are not straightforward; they necessitate strict adherence to protocols and a degree of discretion, reflecting the sensitivity surrounding these tragic cases.
The country holds its breath, hoping for justice and closure as the investigation unfolds.
Mr. Rodney, what new efforts have you put in place? Have you really contacted Scotland Yard? If so what’s keeping them so long? Or maybe they waiting till the case files go missing…

How do we come to blaming this on politics, you make absolutely no sense. These young lady lives were taken away, family here seeking justice and you are being political.
If you wanna be political why don’t you call out the current Government, cause i’m sure they can pay to get the justice. Gaston may have had a whole meeting with the possible killers of Ms. James, so call him out.
Y’all make everything political but not calling out the right ones. if the government cared then the killers would’ve been found. let’s be for real here.
Looking back at this means to much. i can’t stop saying how bad this appears to be. Look how they worked dilligently to find the late Asot’s killer. but to this moment we can’t hear anything about these beautiful young teenagers. its just all so crazy to me. Do they even care about these ladies. is this the streets we will walk down when it comes to middle class peopel? or people who comes from class at all?? WAW they never fail to amaze me in this beautiful Antigua
