Queen of Carnival second runner up to represent island in regional pageant

Fan favourite in last years Queen of Carnival (QOC) Shania Samuel will once step onto the pageantry stage, this time at the Miss IECS Pageant later this month.

Samuel, who secured second runner up and best talent at QOC will be flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda as contestant number one in the competition.

This will not be her first rodeo in a regional event as Samuel competed last October in the inaugural True Blue Beauty Pageant. She claimed the first runnerup title.

The police constable will now turn her attentions to Miss OECS which is set for January 31st at the Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica.

Constable Samuel throughout her pageantry career as been ana advocate for body acceptance, blazing the trail for plus size women to be a apart of that world.

Thyanna Sebastian was the last representative from Antigua and Barbuda to compete in this pageant. She finished as second runner up.

Claire-Marissa Smartt of St. Lucía is the reigning queen.
