Vincentians in Turkey urged to contact Honorary Consulate
Nationals of St Vincent and the Grenadines living in Turkey have been told to get in contact with the Honorary Consulate there
Honorary Consul to St Vincent and the Grenadines in Turkey (Turkiye), Julia Gunn, said SVG nationals and citizens who have not already contacted the Consulate and are in earthquake cities, should contact the Honorary Consulate as soon as possible to confirm their status.
On February 6, Turkey was struck by two major earthquakes in the South- East of Turkiye. Many cities have been affected and authorities say the death toll in Turkey and Syria has climbed to 22,375.
At least 80,768 people in Syria and Turkey were injured, according to authorities.
Gunn, on behalf of the Government and people of St Vincent and the Grenadines, has expressed sympathy and solidarity with the Republic of Turkiye.
