On Wednesday April 26, the police and customs departments carried out a joint drug operation at Deep Water Harbour and discovered 69 packages of cannabis among two barrels of food items.
The barrels were seized and taken to the police station. The substance amounts to 80 pounds with an estimated street value of EC $480,000. A 32-year-old female is assisting the police with the ongoing investigation.
