Sister Ilse Survives Worst of Hurricane Tammy

22 October 2023 - 09:10

Reports coming in from Sister Ilse indicate that Hurricane Tammy has been pounding Barbuda heavily, but thankfully, there have been no reports of serious damage, injuries, or loss of life on the island.

Tammy made landfall on Barbuda last night and is currently moving away from the islands, situated NNE of Anguilla.

The Hurricane Warning has been lifted for Antigua, though a Flash Flood Watch remains in place for Antigua & Barbuda. Currently, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are primarily concentrated to the South of Tammy, and the Southern islands are experiencing wet weather.

This weather pattern is expected to continue for the next day or so until these rain bands move away from the area behind Tammy.
