Sir Steadroy Humbled by Knighthood

Sir Steadroy Benjamin expressed his gratitude for being bestowed with Knight Grand Cross (KGCN) honor during the National Awards ceremony.

His constituents recommended the honor in St. John’s City South, and he shared the spotlight with hotelier Sir Robert “Rob” Barrett, who received the Knight Commander Award (KCN).

Sir Steadroy has served his community for over 40 years and believes that putting the people’s interests first is the key to success.

He plans to continue serving the people of St. John’s City South and Antigua and Barbuda, using his position as Attorney General to update laws and introduce social legislation that benefits society.

One of his notable achievements has been the establishment of the Family Court system, which has received praise from the Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and is being used as a model for the OECS.
