A couple from Ontario, Canada had planned a romantic Christmas getaway in Antigua and Barbuda.
However, their holiday took an unexpected turn when the woman reported her husband to the police for breaking her iPhone and iPad during a heated argument in their hotel room at the Jolly Beach Hotel.
The couple arrived in Antigua on December 21 and were enjoying a lovely dinner when things took a turn for the worse.
The woman reported to the police that the argument escalated, and her husband smashed her iPhone and iPad before packing his bags and leaving the hotel room.
Confirming the woman’s report, the police found the items in question to be smashed.
However, the woman refused to press charges against her husband and only wanted him to replace the damaged items.
A search was carried out by the police and hotel security personnel for the alleged offender but was unsuccessful in finding him on the hotel premises.
It is unclear if the couple reconciled or if the husband replaced the damaged items.
