Elderly Woman Assaulted and Robbed on Wireless Road
A 75-year-old woman was brutally attacked on Wireless Road last night, and police are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the perpetrators.
The elderly woman who had just finished buying food was struck in the head by a young man who then fled the scene with her belongings.
The woman had to be rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center for urgent care.
Her injuries, which were not life-threatening, were treated, and she has since been released from the hospital.
Law enforcement officials have issued a statement, urging the public to cooperate and emphasizing the crucial role community involvement plays in solving crimes.
Anyone who may have witnessed the attack or has relevant information is encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.
Authorities are optimistic that leads from the community will assist in bringing the attackers to justice quickly.
Local residents are reminded to remain watchful and report any suspicious activity in the area. The police have increased patrols in the vicinity to improve security and deter criminal activities.
