Tiffanie Stephanie Howell, a 30-year-old Jamaican national who had been on the run and subsequently turned herself in, is to be sentenced by the court tomorrow

Howell was one of the two women who managed to escape from immigration custody.

She is now being held in custody by the Antigua and Barbuda Department of Immigration after she reported to the authorities on Sunday.

According to officials, Howell has been charged with the offense of escaping lawful custody, and she appeared before the All-Saints Magistrate’s court on Monday morning.

During the hearing, Howell admitted to the crime, and as a result, she was remanded to prison until today, Tuesday, for sentencing.

However, the whereabouts of the other escapee, a Jamaican national named Donnalee Samantha Salmon, are still unknown.

The authorities are urging the public to come forward and provide any helpful information that could lead to the location of Salmon.

In light of this, the authorities have reminded the people to avoid sheltering, aiding, or approaching either of these women, and to report their sighting to the Immigration Enforcement Unit at 764-3240 or 562-5394.

The police have been searching for both women since they made their escape from the department’s Detention Center on January 20, 2024. Despite days of searching, they could not be located
