One of four individuals who were charged with possession of a rifle and ammunition has admitted to the crime and is now mandated to pay a fine of $7500.

Last week Tuesday, Zamir O’garro of Bethesda, Nquanze Armstrong of John Hughes, Tristan Armstrong of Tyrrells and Zykia George of Falmouth were jointly charged for possession of one 30-30 Winchester Rifle and possession of five matching rounds of ammunition without a license.

Three of them subsequently made their first court appearance in the All Saints Magistrate’s court the following day.

Zykia was absent reportedly because she was on bed rest in the hospital due to some medical issue.

Because of her absence their plea was deferred and they were remanded until yesterday.

The four appeared yesterday and Nquanze took the blame for all of the offenses. The charges were dropped against the others and Nquanze was then fined $2500 for the ammunition and $5000 for the gun.

He has 6 months to pay or he could spend a year in prison.
