Dominican Is New Director of GIS Antigua

Daryl V. Titre

The Antigua and Barbuda Broadcasting Services (ABS) has announced the appointment of Daryl V. Titre as the new Director of Government Information Services, effective January 2, 2024.

Titre, a Dominican and avid Labour Party supporter, resigned from his position as Press Attache to Roosevelt Skerrit, the prime minister of Dominica.

He arrived here a few weeks ago with his wife and daughter.

GIS stated that 1ith his extensive experience in the field, Mr. Titre is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the position, having served as Director of the Government Information Service in Dominica since 2019.

During his tenure, he introduced several new channels of information dissemination, including print, social media, and LIVE broadcast, which helped to keep the public informed and up-to-date with the latest news and developments.

Titre’s previous role as a Press Attaché in the Office of the Prime Minister in Dominica, along with his background in the media industry since 2001, further adds to his credibility and expertise in this field, according to GIS

    Are you telling me that no native-born Antiguan and Barbudan is qualified for this job position? Something is wrong here. A king and queen have no honour in their own country. We all should migrate and leave the A&B for foreigners.
