A tragic incident occurred in Old Road this morning, resulting in the untimely death of a young man
Regrettably, he passed away during surgery at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center this morning.
It has been reported that two men were involved in a heated altercation which led to one sustaining multiple chop wounds.
He recieved a serious wound to the back of his neck and arm.
Additionally, another man who bravely attempted to intervene and diffuse the situation suffered a severe injury to his wrist, nearly severing it.

My condolences to the family. Old Road, I don’t remember ever heard this community have such incidents in all history. These young people need to learn how to solve their conflicts without using a deadly weapon. A fist fight or walk-away is the best option to such heated arguments, even before it gets so heated. Young people you don’t give life, so don’t take what you didn’t give!!! Fathers, please trained your young men to be better men and how to solve conflicts or arguments without taking a life they didn’t give. May God comfort and strength the family who lost their loves one, and speedy recovery for the other young man.
