A 30-year-old woman is in police custody, after she was found with cocaine and cannabis at V.C Bird International Airport.

On Thursday, May 30, police officers from the Narcotics Department were on duty at the airport, when they met the resident of #1 George Street inside the departure lounge.

A search was carried out on her person and she was found with1¼ pound of cannabis and 42.5 grams of cocaine strapped to her body.
She was taken into custody and is likely to be charged for drug trafficking and other drug-related offences.

 

The cocaine is estimated at $1,487.50, while the cannabis is valued at $3,500. Further investgations are ongoing.
