T20 World Cup Match Begins in Antigua

The anticipation is building up among local cricket fans as the first T20 World Cup match in Antigua draws near. Scotland is gearing up to take on Oman at 1 pm today at the renowned Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The venue in North Sound promises an exceptional experience, not only for cricket enthusiasts but also for those looking for a mix of enthralling sports and live entertainment.

The event will feature performances from some of the country’s top music artists, including Claudette Peters, Teejay, King Warrior, Chickie, Tenny, Altitude, and Quest, ensuring attendees a memorable experience with top-quality music and thrilling cricket action.

Furthermore, the admission prices are very reasonable, starting at just 6 US dollars for general admission and 25 US dollars for party stand tickets. This year’s World Cup, co-hosted by the West Indies and the US, will feature 55 matches involving 20 teams.

Antigua will host eight matches, four Group B clashes, and four Super 8 fixtures.

Exciting enhancements, such as new replay and scoreboard screens, have been installed and thoroughly tested.

The stadium has also undergone significant improvements in various areas. The second game set for Tuesday.
