Flash Flood Warning Issued for Western Antigua and Barbuda

A flash flood warning has been issued for the western side of Antigua and Barbuda. This warning will remain in effect until 4 PM today, Monday.
A flash flood warning indicates that moderate to major flooding is either occurring or expected to occur in the warned area. Flash flooding poses a significant risk to life and property.
If you are situated in low-lying or flood-prone areas, it is crucial to swiftly move to higher ground.
Residents residing near streams, creeks, and low-lying areas must take immediate precautions to safeguard themselves and their property.
Under no circumstances should you attempt to cross fast-flowing or unknown-depth waters on foot or in a vehicle. Even as little as one foot of swiftly moving water can sweep a car off the road. If you come across flooded roads, exercise extreme caution, and remember: if you are uncertain, it’s best to play it safe and turn around instead of risking driving through flooded areas.
