Earlier today, a group of nurses staged a protest outside the Ministry of Health.

They were protesting against Sir Molwyn Joseph, the Minister of Health’s decision to replace the current Principal Nurse Officer with his own choice to lead the board that oversees midwives in the country.

The nurses believe that this decision disregarded the established procedure for selecting a new head of the board.

The passion and determination of the protesting nurses were evident in their chants, such as “Nurses outside, problems inside” and “It’s not personal, it’s professional.”
