The Cuban Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, Sergio Martinez, has refuted the United States government’s accusations of his country being involved in human trafficking.

The US government has criticized Cuba’s health brigades that it sends to countries in need of healthcare services. Martinez stated that the US is spreading falsehoods about Cuba to justify its sanctions against the Caribbean nation.

He mentioned that the US uses contradictory and false arguments to distort the humanitarian work of Cuban medical collaboration.

Additionally, he highlighted the intensified efforts and actions by the US government to undermine Cuba’s medical cooperation with other countries.

Despite these pressures, he emphasized that Cuba and its health professionals will not be intimidated and will continue their solidarity and humanitarian efforts.
