The inquiry into the death of 16-year-old Yenifer Bridge, whose body was discovered near Fig Tree Hill Drive on Friday morning, is gaining momentum.

Authorities are now considering the possibility of rape and murder in this case.

Clifton Cabral, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said on Browne and Browne over the weekend that the police are waiting for the pathologist’s report to determine the cause of death.

However, preliminary findings suggest that she suffered a violent death.

Furthermore, the CID head mentioned that there are indications that the young woman may have been sexually assaulted before her death.

Photos of the body revealed that the shorts she was wearing were not properly fastened, suggesting that they may have been removed at some point.

“There were no physical marks on the body to indicate that she was struck by a blunt object, weapon or knife. However, we have our belief that we know what was the cause of death but we are awaiting word from the autopsy before making our suspicions public,” Assistant Commissioner Cabral stated.

The authorities are treating the case as a possible abduction that tragically resulted in the 16-year-old being sexually assaulted and murdered.

Furthermore, it has been reported that the 16-year-old victim was a mother to a two-year-old boy.

The child was found wandering alone on Jonas Road the night before the discovery of the victim’s body.

Law enforcement is working to ensure proper care for the child in light of these devastating circumstances.
