BREAKING:Tedson Knowles gets 30 years for murder

Tedson Knowles, convicted of murdering his girlfriend Carissa Chandler, has been sentenced to 30 years imprisonment.

Tedson Knowles, convicted of murdering his girlfriend Carissa Chandler, has been sentenced to 30 years imprisonment.

The case, which has gripped the community since 2019, reached a pivotal moment last month when a jury found Knowles guilty of the fatal shooting.

The incident, described by prosecutors as a domestic dispute gone tragically wrong, occurred on May 23, 2019, in the couple’s shared residence in New Winthorpes.

During the trial, the court heard testimony from neighbours who described a sequence of events on the day of the murder.

Medical evidence presented in court painted a picture of Chandler’s final moments.

A doctor testified that the victim suffered massive blood loss from a close-range gunshot wound to her chest, ultimately leading to her untimely death.

Justice Ann Marie Smith handed down a 30 year sentence earlier today and said that in 20 years his case will be eligible for review.

  1. A well deserved sentence! Men do not OWN women. Take your anger elsewhere. How dare you think that it’s okay to point a gun into a woman’s chest and pull the trigger? Pity that we no longer make use of the death penalty!
