Work is progressing on the construction of 1.2miles (6,200ft/ 1,915m) of sidewalks from Ebenezer to Jolly Harbour (Valley Road).
Approximately 25% of the sidewalks have already been completed.
The sidewalks are 1.2m/ 4ft wide though the full width may not be achieved in built up area because of property fences, roadside drains, utility poles etc.
The project aims to improve property access, vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Project Contractor C O Williams has pledged to take the necessary precautions to minimize the impact on pedestrians when the new school year commences in September.
The sidewalks was a good idea,but they should’ve started it sooner
25% is far from done,I hope it wouldn’t be to much of an issue when school opens
They should start putting poles,for when it gets dark
