Half Public Holiday on Thursday for National Day of Prayer
Antigua and Barbuda will observe the National Day of Prayer on September 12th, 2024, as proclaimed by the Governor General on September 9th, 2024.
This day has been declared a half-public holiday nationwide to mark the occasion.
Antigua and Barbuda has been inundated with criminal activities over the past few months and the government and religious leaders have decided to set aside the day.
The government encourages citizens and residents to participate in the day of prayer, using it as an opportunity for reflection, unity, and seeking guidance for the nation’s future.
Everyone is expected to lift the country up to God and pray for peace around the island.
According to statutory instrument No. 57 of 2024, businesses, banks, shops, and public offices are required to close at 12:00 noon on this day.
Antiguans and Barbudans can pray all they want. Unless there is repentance for all the sins of the government, the land will never be cleansed.
The national day of prayers is an excellent gesture. All faithful patriotic citizens should support this initiative. May God bless our nation.

So how was that “Day of Prayer” received by the most high God? I heard there was violence the very next day! Peter, the Bible beater is 100% correct. You fools down there who believe that you can jerk God around are in for a very rude awakening. You fools who think you can wink up in carnival, and dishonor your bodies, and degrade your minds, and then have the audacity to pray to God clearly don’t get it. You fools clearly do not believe in God. Because if you did, your attitudes would be different! You fools are concerned because of the violence. I know you think you can sprinkle some fake reverence on the scenario and all your troubles will go away! You fool! Fortunately, for you, there is a remnant in the island who has respect for God and we have prayed. Therefore, his will be done in this situation. But there are many lessons on the horizon for people in positions of power in the so-called church, in government, and certainly for fools like you! You and those who think like you are not aware of the consequences for rebellion against God, and alignment with demons. But you are about to find out. Actually you are finding out Antigua is descending into the same hellhole that Haiti is descending into. That little girl got chopped up and you don’t even have the sense to recognize child sacrifice when you see it. But you have the gall to reprove Peter the Bible Beater for speaking truth! You poor fool. Fortunately for you, there is a remnant who lives there who has prayed. But God is going to expose the hypocrisy in the island and those who think that they can engage in criminal activity in the government, in church, and in their daily lives, and then spit in his face by engaging in a political/religious spectacle. Those who think they can “Pray” without repentance are going to be punished, and they will be punished openly, because they have disrespected God openly. So my advice is to heed the words of Peter the Bible Beater, because your lesson unfortunately, is just getting started.
I see.that someone has usurped my identity as Faithful National. As a peaceful soul, I will simply, in the future, sign in as Faithful national #1. Some people are such inconsiderate bullies!
