Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne is now in New York, where he is leading Antigua and Barbuda’s delegation to the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, starting next Tuesday.
The head of government has already begun his packed schedule by participating in a major event on Saturday.
He co-hosted a forum under the theme: ‘Building Resilient Futures: The SIDS Debt Sustainability Support Service’ with the leaders of The Maldives, New Zealand and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
Prime Minister Browne was also scheduled to meet today with officials affiliated with the implementation of an agriculture initiative and a new housing development.
Prime Minister Browne will then participate in an interactive dialogue on Sunday as part of the opening of the summit of the future, before several bilateral meetings during the week.
