Barbudan arrested on drug charges
A 43-year-old Barbudan man is due in court on September 30, to answer two drug charges.
On Monday, September 23, police in Barbuda executed a search warrant on a property occupied by Michael Smith and found him with 71 Ziploc plastic bags of the controlled substance cannabis.
He was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Cannabis, and Possession With Intent to Transfer. The substance weighs 139 grams and is valued at $1,370. He was granted bail in the amount of $10,000 with no cash deposit and two sureties.
The police needs to go and get some real work to do. People still being charged for the herb when it is done legalized? Tap the harassment
They need to go solved the outstanding murder cases and leave the herb man alone. I believe the man a sell for one of officers colleague herb. That is not even a pound. Yes it has passed the 15 grams that is allowed to have. Just tax him on every ziploc bag he sold. I am sure he would be smoking most of it instead of selling the 71 bags.
CHUPS! People still being arrested for Marijuana in this day and age? Give me a break!!!
the same herb you want them to leave people alone for is the same herb that causes some of the crimes unsolved. So let them do they job in peace.
