Staff at Clare Hall Secondary School are scheduled to convene for an emergency meeting today with officials from the Ministry of Education following a serious incident that occurred last Friday.

The school was placed on lockdown after a student was observed with a firearm on the premises.

The student admitted to possessing a loaded firearm, prompting the school to take immediate action by notifying both the police and the ministry.

The director of education has emphasized the seriousness of the situation and has instructed the principal to gather the staff for a meeting, which will be attended by ministry officials.

The student in question, along with other involved individuals, will face severe consequences, and measures such as increased security and the use of metal detectors will be implemented to ensure the safety of the school.

It is alleged that the student is the brother of a police officer.
