RCA expresses thanks to a major donor to a long-standing programme

St. John’s Antigua… Wednesday 13th November 2024……The Rotary Club of Antigua on Wednesday expressed its heartfelt gratitude to businessman, Mr. Mark Raab, for his support and donation of $10,000 to the Club’s signature Meals on Wheels initiative.

The monetary contribution resulted in the distribution of an extra 170 bags to persons in vulnerable situations across the country in October.

In speaking at the Club’s weekly meeting, Mr. Raab thanked Rotarian Barbara Jarvis for approaching him about the possibility of getting involved in the programme.

He said that after hearing about the depth of the long standing gesture, he did not hesitate to pledge his commitment.

“This is truly a worthy programme. I enjoy giving back and giving back in a meaningful way. The work of the Rotary Club is well known. You guys do alot to support the community and I am more than happy to be a part of that”, he said.

Speaking on behalf of the Club, Service Projects Director, Past President Paul Ryan, extended thanks to Mr. Raab for his generous contribution to the initiative for the last two years.

“We are very grateful for your support and we also thank Rotarian Barbara for sharing the mindset behind of the programme with you. We are truly thankful and your contribution goes as long way.
