There have been several changes in the parliament walls.
The newest addition is the appointment of Senator Rawdon Turner as the Vice President of the Senate on Tuesday morning.
The new Leader of Government Business Senator Shenella Govia nominated Senator Rawdon Turner. He was the lone nominee and was elected unopposed.
Turner is the Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) caretaker for St. Peter.
He takes over from former senator Osbert Frederick who resigned from the position. A day earlier he was elected as the new Speaker of the House after Sir Gerald Watt resigned.
President of the Senate Alincia Grant shared warm words to Sir Gerald, Frederick, Govia, Turner and the new senator Michael Joseph.
She admonished Govia, Turner and Joseph to put their best foot forward and lean on those who came before them to mentor them during these transitions.
Joseph took his oath in the Upper House.
