The Salvation Army recently reported a remarkable year for its community services and fundraising efforts, significantly surpassing its Christmas Kettle Appeal target and enhancing its welfare programs.
Under the guidance of Major Jean Raymoncil Pierre, who leads the district encompassing Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts & Nevis, and St Martin, the organization successfully raised over $226,000, exceeding their initial goal of $170,000.
Thanks to these efforts, the Salvation Army has been able to sustain and grow its vital community services.
This includes a weekly feeding program that provides 150 meals to those in need and regular food packages for 35-40 individuals, as well as assistance during emergencies.
The final amount raised during the Christmas Kettle Appeal was $226,274.95, highlighting the generous support from the community.
