I feel incredibly frustrated with the way people are reacting to the news about the LGBTQ Orden David being reported missing.
It’s hard to understand the overwhelming hysteria surrounding this case when we’ve seen so little concern for others who have been missing for far longer.
Why is there such an intense frenzy, even from government officials, over someone who’s been gone for just 24 hours?
Where was the massive outpouring of support for him? What about Noah Hurst?
The disparity in attention given to these cases is maddening. It feels like society picks and chooses who deserves our outrage and compassion, and it’s infuriating to witness.
Every missing person deserves that same urgency and concern, regardless of their identity or the circumstances.
This selective outrage only perpetuates a narrative that some lives matter more than others, and that’s deeply troubling.

This been in my thoughts all morning. Cause how is it that everyone is just up about this gay guy and not the rest. let it be right.
So we supposed to split the manhunt for persons who been missing a year when the first 48 are so important? There were searches for the other missing persons but you take issue when the missing person is gay?
But at the same time, did any of yall Parliament Representatives showed interest. to my knowlegde “no” one missing post and then the nest hours before a next post awares. The news been blowing up all day about the gay guy. But let’s walk in what trumps says. we will only identify two genders. So a confused person is of no importance. never the less he has a family……. so maybe you want me to say Safe Return, I don’t know and I don’t care
So because he’s gay means he’s not human.
This person ignorant? There were big pushes for searches amongst the communities and media. But there is only so much you can do when a year+ has passed. Orden is missing now. And in top of that, a lot of people know Orden personally, so of course his friends, family and acquaintances are turning out in droves. Because there is a chance we can find him. It hasn’t been 48hrs. The first 48 are the most important

He is still a person. This letter is so stupid. How can anyone look for one person for one year? I feel sad that we are in such a bad state mentally. Are you saying that because he is gay we shouldn’t look for him?
It’s all about politics they just looking for people to say they are good politicians and good representative so they tend to behave like they’re so cute let me tell you something they feel the same way just the same way like how they felt about others yet happened today forget it tomorrow yet happened the day before forgetting today they don’t really care but this election thing and this party thing at this no one everything for labor so that’s why they doing that but they got this Minister don’t care
Gay, straight, bi, or whatever, Orden is first human so get your homophobia disguised as concern for other missing individuals in check.
And this is why as a nation we cannot reach nowhere sensible! Why is there even a comparison being made? A life is a life! The other 2 individuals possibly do not have the amount of support from family and friends the way that Orden does! It’s not his fault his family and friends care and are relentless and I mean REALLY relentless not a few fb posts and small talk which dies down. Please let his family and friends have their peace and do what they must to find him even if it means contacting every media source in the Caribbean/ world.
You cannot tell people who to be compassionate towards.
Obviously if someone is popular the outpouring of concern will be different than for someone else. Its human nature we feel what we feel for who we feel
The whole country or most people are just concerned about people going missing like that including those that are mentioned and even down to crazy Casper from King Obstinate Drive Grace Farm just below the traffic light. They are all human beings with love ones and should be treated with equal importance
