Winston Williams, the ABLP candidate for the St. Mary’s North Constituency, has been actively engaging with the “Better Together” Team and the Hope Tree Foundation to provide essential support for education and community growth.
On Sunday, February 2, the “Better Together” Team returned to the One Love Community to fulfill a promise made to its leaders and children.
Together with the Hope Tree Foundation, they distributed vital school supplies, including 144 exercise books, pencils, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, pencil cases, and rulers.
Community leader Kenny, along with several children, accepted the donation, which aims to equip every student with the necessary tools for academic success.
Additionally, the team visited a respected member of the community to deliver a Mobility Support chair, generously provided by the Rotary Club Antigua. They also distributed food hampers to residents, furthering their commitment to community welfare.
In a recent initiative, Williams supported the Jennings Primary School’s inter-house sports activities by delivering snacks, such as hamburger meat patties, hotdog sausages, and a variety of buns, with the latter graciously donated by the Bendals Community Bakery.
Joined by members of the “Better Together” Team, including Ms. Shana April and former student Mr. Sheron Alexander, who serves as a Youth Advisor, Williams reiterated his dedication to enhancing the school’s programs and events.
Plans for upcoming projects include revitalizing the school agricultural farm, supporting the children’s reading initiatives, and promoting visual aid learning tools, all aimed at fostering educational development in the community.
Open Letter to Winston Williams: Accountability and Public Trust
Dear Mr. Williams,
As you consider your future in politics, it is important to acknowledge that public trust in leadership is built on accountability and transparency. For many, your potential return to public office raises serious concerns regarding past scandals, including:
The Fencing Scandal – Allegations of financial mismanagement and misallocation of government resources.
The John Ashe Scandal – Connections to international corruption concerns that brought scrutiny to government dealings.
The Housing Scandal – Questions surrounding fairness, accountability, and financial oversight in housing projects.
The people of Antigua and Barbuda deserve clear explanations and assurances that government resources will be handled with integrity. Without addressing these concerns openly and honestly, regaining public confidence will be difficult.
Leadership requires trust, and trust is earned through accountability. Will you take the opportunity to clarify these matters and rebuild confidence in your ability to serve?
The public is waiting for answers.
Your failure to provide any evidence (as usual) that Mr. Williams is culpable for any of the countless UPP scandals speaks for itself.
John Ashe? You have got to be playing with us. Give Baldwin Spencer a call on that one.
Did Mr. Williams as Sports Minister do any of the contracting after proposing improved fencing to the relevant ministries? No. You know this. That’s why your spam posts are deliberately vague and without any facts.
Thankfully such mismanagement would not (and could not) happen if a similar venture was sent to Finance under the ABLP administration.
Fiscal safeguards have ensured the ABLP avoided the wastage and squandermania of the UPP years: 100 million on a broken power plant, overspent $70+ million on an airport runway, spent 1.2 billion on roads we still can’t find, over-borrowed and abused overdrafts from ABI to collapse the bank etc etc etc…
Just imagine how corrupt a UPP government would be under the dunce Gisele-controlled Jamale Pringle and the cabal of bloodsucking opportunists which have captured that failing party. That is the stuff of nightmares!
Those projects and activities you have been highlighting, Sir, aren’t those things that you are supposed to be doing on a regular basis, being a constituency representative? So why are you patting your self on the back? Still yet we thank you for your contribution
Is this a joke?
You don’t know who the representative is?
Make sure you post this comment when an actual UPP representative (and not a political hopeful) hits the news for similar.
How did UPP and its acolytes become so utterly dunce? Its incomprehensible!
