Two talented women will proudly represent their Antiguan and Barbudan culture at the Miss Caribbean US 2025 pageant tomorrow, Sunday.
They are seventeen-year-old Cadyn Farrell, who will compete in the teen category, and 24-year-old Dejah “Cleo” Lucas, who will take the stage in the adult section.
Cadyn, who has roots in Antigua, St. Kitts, and Nevis, sees this event as more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of her cultural identity.
She shared her family’s story in a publication on Observer yesterday, mentioning that her grandfather owned the first bakery in Ottos. Although her family moved to the United States in 1976, Cadyn maintains a deep connection to her roots.
Dejah Lucas, a sophomore studying Forensic Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, also carries Antiguan pride.
She attended St. Michael’s Primary School, where she experienced her first taste of pageantry. As she prepares for the competition, she brings with her both heritage and ambition, eager to share the beauty of her ancestry with others.
Good luck on your journey we’re proud of you
