Family and Friends to Bid Farewell to Magistrate Clarke Next Week

19 February 2025 - 15:00

Magistrate Concliffe Clarke

Magistrate Conliffe Clarke, a respected figure in Antigua’s legal community who passed away on February 7, 2025, will be laid to rest on February 26.

The funeral service will be held at 10 am at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Clarke, who was 50 years old at the time of his passing, died at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre following a brief stay in the Intensive Care Unit, where he had been admitted on February 6.

His death came after a courageous battle with cancer, just over a year after what had initially appeared to be successful treatment.

Born on October 27, 1974, Clarke carved out a unique path in Antigua’s legal landscape.

After returning to the island in 2000 following the completion of his law studies, he brought with him a distinctive perspective shaped by his earlier career in the music industry.

This background particularly influenced his work on the bench, where he became known for his expertise in copyright protection and intellectual property matters.
