The parents of 9-year-old Chantel Crump have issued a warning to residents regarding the use of their daughter’s name in potential scams.

Chantel’s father, Mr. Crump, has reported that several individuals are falsely soliciting donations under the guise of helping with funeral costs and financial support for the family.

Mr. Crump emphasizes that the family does not authorize these requests and urges community members to be cautious.

    For all of you who talking about Antiguans, should all stop and think, get the facts before reacting with your emotions. It’s the same way when other countries are named for their known behavior and called culture to what they see. Caribbean family let look at the bigger picture, a family lost their princess, let us comfort them and if we see someone who may be trying to take advantage (scamming) then notify the authorize authority.

    Not “sone Antiguans going straight to hell” as you put it . Get it right. Some RESIDENTS are going straight to hell . Antigua has been bug infested for decades. Today, many authentic Antiguans can’t even recognize Antigua as it used to be compared to what we have now. Murder, rape, scamming, abductions and drive-boys are NOT the Antiguan way of life!!! Yes we had such crimes before the floodgates were indiscriminately thrown open to all and sundry, but let us be clear. Many residents of Antigua and Barbuda are going straight to hell!
