39-year-old Waldron Shillingford
A Dominican citizen was tragically murdered in a hitman attack on Friday afternoon in Colombia.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Waldron Shillingford, originally from Roseau, Dominica.
Reports indicate he had been living in Colombia for a few months prior to his death.
Residents of the Monte Verde community discovered his body after hearing multiple gunshots nearby. When they approached the scene, they found him lifeless on the roadside.
The incident occurred around 2 PM at kilometer 4 of the highway connecting Ríohacha to the La Florida district.
Local authorities reported that they promptly removed the body and launched an investigation to uncover the motive behind the murder and identify the assailants.
Waldron was known to have been a merchant and a former police officer in the Dominican Republic. His presence in that remote area of La Guajira has left many puzzled, raising questions about his reasons for being there and the nature of his violent death.
SIJIN units from Riohacha conducted a technical inspection of the scene and have started an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the crime. As of now, no suspects have been apprehended.

The article is quite inaccurate. He is actually from Dominica, was never a police often and he was in his late 40s

Yes; the article does. Seems that he was born in the Commonwealth of Dominica but eventually moved to Santo Domingo.
Not sure whether or not he was resident of Columbia, but it was where this former police officer, a native of the Commonwealth of Dominica, was gunned down
