The Urban and Transformation Minister, Rawdon Turner, announced plans to request an extension of the compliance period for derelict lots in St John’s.
While current legislation allows for a standard amenity order of 30 days, the Minister is advocating for a significant increase to a 60-day order.
The move is in response to ongoing concerns about the condition of abandoned and neglected properties, which have been a blight on the community.
The Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing the quality of living spaces and ensuring safety for residents.
And if you don’t have money for the necessary repairs what’s next confiscation?
Truth be told stone I see Turners vision. Men like that travel the world and see organized things. There are people who just love the ghetto mentality and want to remain down in the delta. One day the next general will appreciate it.
I agree…. When you get to travel as often as they do and be exposed to different cultures and ways of doing positive things you get the sense of wanting to make an impact in your domain
Keep on making Antigua beautiful, clean and orderly Minister Turner and don’t take no titti cacka from nobody because all the nay sayers know is ghetto and nasty. It’s time for a change!!!
They still won’t make moves. However. I applaud Turner for doing his best in developing the country.
A beautiful Antigua. That’s what we desire, Building the country to the best of its all
All I see is poor people being marginalized.. Turner how much does a pound of sugar cost? Bet you don’t know right? Ok
Maybe with cleanliness and order, in Antigua in general and our capital specifically, more visitors will come and spend more money here in Antigua helping the cost of sugar to go down.

How much more time they need. I’ve been hearing the government talking about owners of them buildings need to do something about them and still nothing is being done.
But once the government decides to take action like what they did with Alfa Nero all kinds of people will come out of the woodwork to state claim.
Clean up all u nasty buildings
