St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Friday, May 9, 2025

The police have arrested and formally charged 44-year-old Andre Solomon of Pares Main Road in connection with multiple drug-related offences.

On Wednesday, April 30, police executed search warrants at properties located on Pares Main Road and in Parham, both occupied by Solomon, and seized 191.9 grams of cannabis, 2 ¼ pounds of cannabis, and 790 cannabis plants.

He was subsequently charged with Unlawful Possession of 191.9 grams of Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of 2 ¼ pounds of Cannabis, Possession of 790 Cannabis Plants, and Unlawful Cultivation of 790 Cannabis Plants.

Additionally, on Wednesday, May 7, police executed another search warrant at Solomon’s residence in Hodges Bay and seized an additional 4 ½ pounds of cannabis. He was further charged in connection with that offence.

Meanwhile, Solomon is also being questioned as a person of interest in several other ongoing police investigations. He is expected to appear before the court today to answer to the drug-related charges.
