APUA and Ministry of Works Enhance Infrastructure Ahead of Carnival Season
APUA has committed to investing in specialized equipment while actively recruiting and training personnel to facilitate efficient pipe repairs and the proper restoration of major roads.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy in collaboration with the Ministry of Works, focusing on the timely improvement of critical infrastructure.
Both organizations have pledged to prioritize these enhancements, recognizing the importance of maintaining optimal road conditions during one of the most vibrant times of the year.
The Cabinet’s continued focus on infrastructure development reflects a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for citizens and ensuring sustainable growth for the nation.
With these efforts, APUA and the Ministry of Works aim to create a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone during the festivities.
Many would say is only because of Carnival season or upcoming elections but I’m grateful for the upgrades that leaves this country looking better! Tired of old roads and no water
Let me tell you I have to commend the ministry of works and the Ministry of Utilites cause lately they have really ben putting in the work
What level of planning is this? St. John’s is just about the only city in the Caribbean without a sewage and waste water management system. While we are running new water pipes the opportunity should be taken to lay sewage lines also. A sewage system is critical for the city immediately. We are now repairing the roads in St John’s and reinstalling water pipelines only to destroy the streets again to install sewage lines in the future. We should not be wasting time and money. Proper planning is essential.
An enhanced infrastructure means a safer and more enjoyable Carnival experience for locals and tourists alike.
