Police Seek Public’s Help After Teenagers Injured in Armstrong Road Shooting
Police are seeking assistance from the public following a shooting incident that occurred around 11:45 PM on Thursday at Number One Armstrong Road, leaving two teenagers with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victims, a 17-year-old resident of Armstrong Road and a 19-year-old from Golden Grove, were walking along the street when they suddenly heard what they described as loud explosions. In a panic, they spotted a man in a black hoodie and began to flee the scene. It was only after they had run away that they realized they had both been shot.
The two teens were transported to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment. The older teen sustained injuries to his ankle and hand, while the younger victim suffered a wound to his back. Fortunately, medical personnel confirmed that neither injury was critical.
Law enforcement has launched an investigation into the incident and is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. The authorities are particularly interested in identifying the suspect and are asking the community to help in this regard.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at 462-3913 or reach out to the Crimestoppers anonymous hotline at 800-TIPS (8477). As the investigation continues, police have not yet established a possible motive for the attack.
