The Antigua Public Utilities Authority has announced promising developments regarding the construction of a new reverse osmosis plant located at Barnacle Point. This initiative, undertaken by the Florida-based Seven Seas Water Group, is set to significantly enhance the country’s water production capabilities.

Once completed, the new facility will contribute an impressive 2 million gallons of fresh water per day, addressing the growing demand for reliable water supply in Antigua. This project is anticipated to play a crucial role in bolstering the nation’s water resources, particularly in the context of increasing population and tourism.
