On Saturday, the Antigua and Barbuda Trades & Labour Union (AT&LU) donated a fully equipped toolbox to the Sunshine Home for Girls in Johnson’s Point, which will assist with maintenance and repairs.
Major Violet Ezech expressed gratitude and hopes for a continued partnership between the AT&LU and the home.
Deputy General Secretary Avelyn Watley made the presentation, and the AT&LU plans to offer training on using the tools.
Earlier this year, on International Women’s Day, AT&LU held a presentation for the residents, discussing professional development, workers’ rights, and addressing gender-based violence.
