A male suspect has been arrested and taken into custody by the police in relation to an assault and theft incident that took place in Parham.

At approximately 9:30 PM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, a male suspect in Parham was reported to have stolen a cellular phone and a wallet from a woman’s vehicle. The incident was reported to the police at the Parham Police Station. Upon responding to the report, officers discovered the suspect armed with an object that resembled a firearm, which was concealed in his waistband.

The suspect ignored police commands for disarmament, which led to a physical confrontation, resulting in injuries to three officers’ wrists, thighs, and ankles – a weapon was recovered from the scene of the incident.

The suspect sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh during the altercation and was taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, where he is presently undergoing treatment for a non-life-threatening injury. The injured officers were treated and discharged from the hospital, and investigations are ongoing.

  2. Wow, what a crazy situation in Parham! especially with a weapon involved. I hope the woman is okay after that scare. Kudos to the police for acting quickly to catch the suspect. It makes you think about how important it is to stay aware of our surroundings, especially at night. Let’s hope this doesn’t become a trend in our community.
