Police and Customs Seize Multiple Drug Shipments

Law enforcement officials have reported another major drug bust at one of the nation’s key ports of entry.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers from the Police Narcotics Department, assisted by the K-9 Unit and Customs officers, carried out a joint operation at the Deep Water Harbor Customs Cargo Shed. During the search, they discovered a brown cardboard box containing 14 vacuum-sealed packages of cannabis.

The packages were taken to Police Headquarters, where they weighed in at 13½ pounds. According to police, the drugs have an estimated street value of $81,000.

The Police Administration praised the coordinated work of the Narcotics Department, Customs Enforcement, and other agencies involved in the seizure. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to tackling the illegal drug trade and urged members of the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement efforts.

Investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
