The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is celebrating a major achievement within its ranks following the graduation of Officer Latisha Browne of the Forensics Unit from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.

Officer Browne successfully completed a Master of Science degree in Forensics, with a specialisation in Ballistics.

Her advanced training marks a significant boost to the country’s forensic science capacity, especially in the critical area of firearms and ballistics analysis.

The newly acquired expertise will strengthen the work of the national Forensics Unit in multiple ways.

Beyond technical analysis of firearms-related evidence, Officer Browne’s training covers areas such as proper chain-of-custody procedures and providing expert testimony during judicial proceedings essential elements in securing convictions and ensuring the integrity of the justice system.

Law enforcement officials hailed her achievement as a testament to the growing professionalism within the police force.

Be sure to watch your back, though, since another police officer; also female,also touted as one of the Force’s rising stars in the area of Forensics was shot found dead earlier this year, while on the job. Her death was eventually ruled a “suicide” by her fellow officers and in very short order, interred. Stay alert, stay focused, stay safe! Congratulations.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
