The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Trade has extended heartfelt congratulations to four exceptional Antiguans and Barbudans — Ms. Atiya Fabian, Ms. Briana Anthony, Ms. Sharee Philip, and Senator Lamin Newton — for their remarkable academic achievements that continue to bring pride and distinction to the nation.
Minister E. P. Chet Greene, together with the staff of the Ministry, praised the quartet for their dedication, discipline, and pursuit of excellence in higher education.
Ms. Atiya Fabian, Ms. Briana Anthony, and Senator Lamin Newton recently completed their Bachelor of Science degrees with Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus, while Ms. Sharee Philip will soon graduate from Monroe University with First Class Honours — an achievement that underscores her exceptional academic performance and commitment.
A Moment of National Pride
Their accomplishments, the Ministry said, stand as a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, focus, and perseverance.
“We are immensely proud of Ms. Fabian, Ms. Anthony, Ms. Philip, and Senator Newton for their outstanding academic achievements,” said His Excellency Dr. Clarence E. Pilgrim, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Their success is a testament to their resilience and determination. I am confident they will continue to make meaningful contributions to our nation and the wider Caribbean community, upholding the values of excellence and service.”
The Ministry reaffirmed its belief that education is a cornerstone of national development and a vital driver of economic growth. Through initiatives that support youth empowerment, academic advancement, and global engagement, the Ministry said it remains committed to equipping young citizens with the tools to build a stronger and more prosperous Antigua and Barbuda.
“These achievements are not only personal triumphs,” the Ministry noted, “but reflections of the bright potential that resides within our people. They remind us that the pursuit of education transforms lives, uplifts communities, and strengthens the nation.”
Minister Greene and the staff of the Ministry commended the four honourees for their exemplary dedication and expressed hope that their success will inspire other young Antiguans and Barbudans to pursue their academic dreams with courage and commitment.
“We celebrate them as ambassadors of excellence,” the statement concluded. “May their achievements motivate others to dream boldly, work diligently, and serve selflessly in the ongoing journey of nation-building.

It’s always inspiring to see Antiguans making waves abroad. Education truly is the key to progress.
Congratulations all. Higher learning is the new vibe
Congratulations to all! Hope they come back home and help build the nation too.
Especially proud of you Briana. Congratulations hun. Same to the other graduates
A graduate in every household is the vision but with no jobs available they will migrate
Good but when all these people graduate will there be jobs for them
Keep striving for the best.
