The farewell reception for outgoing Chinese Ambassador H.E. Zhang Yanling was transformed into a vibrant celebration of culture and friendship.

The evening featured performances that reflected both Antiguan pride and Chinese appreciation, including a steelpan serenade by Khan Cordice, a Mandarin song by a Sir Novelle Richards Academy teacher, and a traditional dance by the Elite Dance Company.

Ambassador Zhang, visibly moved, received gifts from Prime Minister Gaston Browne, Foreign Minister E.P. Chet Greene, and others, symbolizing the deep respect she earned during her tenure.

The night ended with warm applause and emotional farewells, as Zhang expressed her love for Antigua and Barbuda, saying the country “will always be in my heart.”
