
Bendals Primary School suspends classes after fire
Normal operations at the Bendals Primary School have been suspended for Monday after a fire destroyed the school’s administration building.

Director of Education Clare Browne confirmed to Antigua.news that the blaze occurred during the early hours of Sunday morning. The building sustained extensive damage as a result of the fire.

At this stage, the cause of the blaze remains under investigation, with police actively probing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Education officials have advised that teachers are expected to return to the classrooms on Tuesday, while normal school operations could resume as early as Wednesday, pending further assessments.

Authorities are continuing investigations, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
