Motorcyclist suffers injury during ABLP Motorcade

A motorcyclist was injured and taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment after crashing during the ABLP Megacade on Sunday, briefly interrupting festivities as supporters rushed to his aid.

The accident happened as thousands took part in the island-wide motorcade, a major show of support ahead of the April 30 general election.

Supporters nearby quickly responded, surrounding the injured man and assisting until he was transported from the scene to hospital.

The extent of his injuries was not immediately known up to press time, and there has been no official update on his condition.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
